Believers
make different kinds of offerings to the Church such as:-
- Panthrandu
Pattakkarude Nercha : The ceremonial feast offered to 12 priests,
commemorating the Last Supper of Our Lord with his disciples.
- Munnu
Pattakarude Nercha : The ceremonial feast offered to 3 priests
- Munnu
Paithangalude Nercha : The grand feast offered to 3 poor children
- Thookkapachor
nercha / Thulabharam : The offer of jaggery or sugar equal
to the weight of the devotee. This offering is cooked with rice and
served to all devotees.
- Adimaveckal
: Pledging the child to be the servant of the Church, marking its attachment
to God, liberating it from bondage .
- Offering
of candles : Symbolising self-sacrifice for giving light to
others.
- Saniyazhicha
Qurbana : Saturday Mass attended by thousands seeking blessings,
on the day of His Holiness’ demise. It was on a Saturday that
Bawa entered Eternal Rest. Children are baptized to receive blessing,
protection and patronage from Bawa on saturdays.
- Madhyastha
Prarthana : Special prayer for Intercession of the Blessed
Virgin Mary

: Initiation of the child to the world of letters by the priest before
the Holy Tomb.
